The Cross and the Musk Ox
I saw these animals recently, and wondered if they were some kind of Jihadist extremists, judging by their long beards:
However, they seemed to believe in turning the other cheek. Wherever I moved, they liked to turn their faces toward me.
It quickly became apparent that these were Christian Musk Oxen!
In fact, they gather at the foot of the cross daily.
These guys, though, were not so peaceful:
If I got closer than about 50 feet from this herd, the big bull would start tearing big chunks of tundra out with his horns, tossing them in the air, and snorting at me.
They kept trying to keep the little guy behind them, but it wanted to see me, so it kept squeezing to the front.
Musk Oxen are some of my favorite animals. They are really fun to watch and have very strong personalities. They are comical when they run, and sometimes they will dance when they greet each other. The cows look like they are wearing their hair parted and pigtails. They remind me of old ladies.
I’m a sucker for God’s nature.
